Bay Shore Presents: Under the Big Tent

In the spirit of community-building and celebration, a consortium of leading Bay Shore organizations and representatives from the Town of Islip have joined together to host a festival we hope will become an annual event.

On July 19, 2014 Bay Shore will gather “Under the Big Tent” for a day of music, art, poetry, food and fun. On a day that celebrates what it means to be a member of this wonderfully diverse hamlet, we will make new friends, discover common interests, and unveil exciting new initiatives. Hosted on the grounds of the First Baptist Church (just east of Bay Shore High School), the festival will kick off at 11:00am with a New Orleans style “Second Line” parade. Join us as we make a symbolic journey north from the Second Avenue Firehouse to the “Big Tent.” Come for the music, come for the food, come for the fun…And celebrate what it means to be part of the Bay Shore community.
